Memorial and Cowboys

Today was a day of sad memories. After we got up Mom had us watch a DVD about the Oakland City bombing and possible conspiracies. It was some pretty weird stuff. Afterwards we went to the Oakland City Bombing Memorial. Mom got upset halfway through and we left without seeing the whole thing, but it was very sad. Once we left, we checked out an art museum that specialized in western paintings. Since we had nothing planned afterwards we headed back and relaxed as well as we could after the memorial for the rest of the day.

Final note: My mind had made up, at least I hope made up, a picture I couldn't get rid of: a little girl trying to pull her Dad out of the rubble. Pretty creepy, huh?

Sounds like a pretty hard memorial to visit, Dave. The Oklahoma City bombing is one of many terroist attacks, both foreign and domestic, that have changed the way Americans view the world. It is sad indeed, but it's the reality of the world we live in. This problem had no borders. Juxtapose OK City with what's happening in Israel, the Middle East, Europe and even Asia. The problem permeates our lives. I hope that yours and Sarah's generation learn to live in a world without such tragedies.
